That's so LA...

Joe and I went to Deutsch this morning. We thought we were going to have to speak to Sara Michelson together, but she gave us the option of going separately, which I think made the world of difference for us. I think I did really well. I stressed what I wanted even though she told me entry-level planning positions are scarce, even more so with the economy like it is. I knew this going in, but I think I definitely made an impression so I can't ask for anything more. While Joe was speaking with her I sat in the lobby looking through a book of campaign advertisements they had produced in the past. It was some really good stuff.

Later this afternoon we hit up TBWA\Chiat\Day. Joe was finally home and I finally got to see what he had been talking about/mildly obsessed with for his entire summer. The agency was like something I have never seen in my life.

He and I sat down with Christine Anderson in HR so that we could catch her up on our previous summers, recent semesters at school, passions for the industry, etc. She was awesome. I really enjoyed our chat and appreciated her honesty about landing a job right now. It's going to be tough. But I am trying to stay positive.
